I had dinner here and found the food to be quite bland, and the servers to be overbearing when we were looking at the menu.

They kept trying to get us to order set meals and specials, as in several times in the span of maybe 10 minutes. They're otherwise not very friendly. The menu is entirely in chinese.

The price is a bit high for the quality of food.

Surprisingly, almost all the dishes we ordered were delicious. I particularly liked the chicken stuffed with sticky rice. Soup and dessert were complimentary. They have a few rooms with a large table. Price was fair but gratuity was mandatory included in the bill. Service was okay. The decor was plain. There were plenty of parking at night.

I've always passed by this resto driving along 16th. It's located in a tiny plaza right before Warden Ave.

My brother really wanted to try this place for his bday so we made a reservation and the waitress on the phone told us they could give us a private room with no minimum spend which was cool.

Eggplant w/ minced pork in fish sauce: I still think Congee Wong/Queen makes this dish the best but they did a pretty good job here. I do prefer my eggplants cut into rectangles though. These guys did the traditional thicker, rough chops. The eggplant was still soft and the sauce was great. No complaints with this dish.

Maggi sauce lobster: No screwups here. Standard canto cooked lobster style.

Peking duck: The duck was cooked well but they definitely skimped us on the wraps. I think this resto might win the award for being the most stingy on wraps.

Steamed fish: Broke down well but the soy sauce was either not homemade or store bought. It did not have enough flavour.

Stir fried pea shoots w/ dried shrimps and shrooms: The portion size was severely lacking for this dish of veggies. There was a small mound of veggies in the middle of the plate and the rest of the dish was broth. I expected the dish to be full of veggies.

Sweet n' sour pork: Ok the sns pork here is above average! It doesn't crack top 3 or anything like that but the pork was crispy and they didn't forget the pickled garlics.

Whole crispy chicken: So some of the chicken skin wasn't crisp and some of the accompanying shrimp chips also weren't crispy. The meat WAS cooked perfectly though. Breast was moist and overall the meat had enough flavour.

Winter melon soup: It was good but I suspected the winter melon wasn't cooked entirely over the open flame burner. Rather, I think they stewed the soup first and then poured it into the melon. I observed the server trying to hack at the melon to get the inner flesh off. Properly cooked winter melon flesh should just give way with no effort.

Our family was making small talk w/ one of the servers and she told us that the whole resto had 2 woks in total and she sounded dead serious. Idk if we should've been shocked or worried LOL. I will say, the service was great though! The 2 biggest positives I can say about this place is their open willingness to give available private rooms to anyone (w/o minimum spend) and the service.

If you're spending around $500, I honestly don't think this place can even compete with Starchiva, Kingsfield or The One Fusion in the Richmond Hill/Markham area. Those places are in a higher tier. If you're spending the same amount of coin at those respective places, you will have a far grander dining experience and larger portions to get more bang-out-of-your-buck.

First time at this restaurant. Never new this place existed and we drive by this plaza so often and didn’t notice it. It was only when we were looking for seafood restaurants in the area that I found it on Google Maps and decided to give it a try.

It is a large restaurant with lots of seating and several private rooms which is great for family gatherings when you want to chat and have a quieter atmosphere. Even though we were a small party the restaurant was nice enough to put us into one of the smaller private rooms. The staff are sooo nice. English is not their first language but they did their best to communicate with us. They were also attentive throughout the dinner.

We Came with some friends and ordered Set Dinner F for 4 people. They provided complementary fish skin chips to start. Every dish was delicious. The quality of the ingredients is amazing and the flavours are wonderful. Our friends enjoyed the dinner so much they plan to bring their family back for an “authentic Chinese meal”.

Will definitely be back as well.

Delicious Chinese food. Service was great and food tasted good too. Prices were reasonable. They also have private rooms which was nice for privacy. I especially loved the eel. It was super soft and flavourful. Highly recommend.
