Fionn MacCool's Richmond Hill

We went here for dinner around 6:30 on a Saturday night. Surprised it wasn't busy given all the traffic at the surrounding restaurants. We walked right in and got seated. Food and drink were good. French onion soup was overflowing with melted cheese! Cauliflower bites were tasty. Fish and chips were good. Not a lot of vegetarian options (fish and chips, veggie burger, a couple salads) but most restaurants still fill their menus with meat so not too surprising.

We dropped in around 11:45am. There was only one other customer in the restaurant. The hostess, who was also our server was very friendly. I ordered the Cobb salad and my hubby ordered the fish and chips. She asked if he would like an extra fish and he said yes. His 3 pieces of fish were large pieces and fully stuffed with fish. We both enjoyed our meals. This restaurant has a cozy feel to it. There is a shelf full of board games. And the music is oldies rock music. An Ozzie Osbourne’s song was playing as we were entering the restaurant. The food was great, service was great, music great. This place is worth the visit.

It was a pleasurable evening we spent over a birthday event, and the ambiance and food, live music and my old fashioned drink is mesmerizing…. Palpasha , our server was extremely courteous and helped us in selecting our drinks and food.

We were here to have a birthday dinner. I’d say there is no place better than this. Very Homely and Congenial Atmoshere for such celebrations.

I’d like to thank all the owners as well as all the staff for their extreme courteousness, and would highly recommend anyone who is reading this review.

Our first visit and it was amazing! They had board games for the kids to play while waiting which is genius in my opinion. The service was friendly and great and the food was tasty, big portions and dessert....to die for! When we're back in TO we will come again! Two thumbs up!!!!

Came to Fionn MacCool’s Richmond Hill to watch UFC night, but unfortunately it was a letdown. They had a DJ playing ridiculously loud music — it was so hard to enjoy the fight or even talk with each other. We had to shout just to have a conversation. The loud music completely killed the vibe for us.

When we first walked in, the atmosphere was great, but then it quickly turned chaotic. We asked the manager about the DJ, since one of our friends comes here often for UFC nights and never experienced that before. The manager simply said, “try something new.” Sure, experimenting is fine, but a UFC night isn’t the right time for that kind of change.

Giving 3 stars only because the fish tacos were delicious, drinks were decent, and the washroom was clean. Otherwise, not the experience we were hoping for.
