This restaurant has the best dinuguan in Toronto! We’ve tried many places, but nothing compares to the rich, authentic flavour here. We always order take-out and Doordash, and the quality is consistently excellent across all their branches — not just this location. If you’re looking for amazing Filipino dinuguan, this is the spot. Highly recommend!

A good friend of mine from Vancouver was visiting for the first time since the pandemic started. One of our favourite things to do is explore Toronto and sample food from different restaurants. One of our favourite things, believe it or not, is Chicharron, deep fried crispy chicken skin. It is the perfect snack food, deliciously crispy and light, not greasy at all.

Tagpuan, a Filipino grocery store and restaurant, has the BEST version of this wonderful treat. Theirs is always just right, and also one of the most inexpensive in the city (that I've found, anyway). Try it!

I ordered food from APP. It says the original price was $18. To fight food wastes, it is $5.99 now. However I will never pay $18 for this small portion of food. Taste is not bad. That is why I gave two stars. I just feel it was a lie. Just try to sell more. There is the rice in the middle. Small portions veggies are on both sides.

I used the Too Good To Go app and tried out this Filipino takeout food. I was initially disappointed when I opened the package. There was rice in the center, some meaty things on one side and some vegetables things on the other side. They did not look substantial. The meaty thing was stewed goat. The vegetables thing was a mixed vegetables with eggplants, beans, and bitter melon with a garlic sauce flavored with dried shrimps I believe. Since I am a guy and a bigger eater, I did not find the food substantial or to be exceptional value. There was also a bun. I felt that because I thought these things through Too Good To Go are meant to be leftovers so my expectations were a bit higher in terms of volume of food. But my expectations might just be unrealistic. Now the taste. The food tasted really good. I reheated the food in the microwave for 3 minutes. Both the stew and the mixed vegetables tasted quite yummy. There was also a bun but I was reserving that for lunch tomorrow. Did I like the flavour? Absolutely. The stewed goat was boney though and did not have a lot of meat. But everything tasted pretty good. Would I do it again? I would say yes. Overall the process was super easy, the staff was courteous and the food was tasty. The area for improvement I would hope for would be a little more meat. I can't give a perfect score but it deserved a 4 star.
