Their fish is very fresh and super tasty. Honestly one of the better sushi spots in the area.
Everything was wrong in this restaurant! Rotten shiso leaf, sticky fish tail and unknown mark on fish’s back. I got diarrhea 30mins after I had this lunch.
All you got is a very thin layer of sea food but a whole bowl of rice. The rate of seafood and rice is like 1:5.
The staff in this restaurant look so unhappy today. No one smiled at all. The cook looks like he is about to have a dream at 11:45 when I going in.
Not recommend.
My sis and I were pretty surprised about this great find! The staff were welcoming and the food was more delicious than anticipated. My sister and i ordered the Nagoya don and the Unatama don and let me tell you, these dishes did not disappoint!! Each don also came with a hot bowl of miso soup and it was honestly a great palate cleanser. The unatama don was tender and savoury, not too sweet and the tamago was sweet and fluffy! The Nagoya don was torched salmon and negitoro with scallions and it was probably my favourite bowl there, fish was melt in your mouth and the smokiness from the torched salmon really gave the dish a little oomph to make less one dimensional. Would def recommend you try this out. My sister and I finished our meal and we are already planning our next one there!
Update! I ordered takeout dons and they were just as delicious as dining in! Pictured: bara don, aburi don and salmon avocado don.
Surprisingly really enjoyed it! I didn't check the menu before coming here but it was a great experience. Wonderful staff - very attentive. I got the unagi tomago Don which was so yummy $25 and because it was Wednesday (Mon-thurs) they have 50% off appetizers if you order a main.
Overall very happy to try the food and it was a great first time.
5% off if you pay cash
I always love going to the downtown location but this was a nice change. The staff at this location were super friendly and welcoming. They always checked on us throughout the meal and were very courteous. The presentation at Hana Don is what I appreciate most. Tasty and visually appealing. A great spot for fresh fish.
