I bought a Proform X-bike Elite 2 weeks ago. It made knocking noise on every downward stroke on the pedals. I had the bike exchanged once in the store. But the same problem happened on the 2nd bike. Customer service from Proform tried to troubleshoot the problem on the phone and video call with me for more than an hour. And they followed with multiple emails requiring me to install some parts which I do not have the proper tool to do so. The bike was only $99. I felt I spent more time trying to fix it than using it! I lived with the noise making me crazy for 2 weeks during every workout. I was not so happy with the whole purchase experience. Fortunately, Sporteffect was finally hired by Proform to come over to my home to perform the repair. Mark from Sporteffect kindly called promptly to schedule an appointment. Technician John arrived the next day to repair my bike. John is a very nice person who patiently diagnosed the problem first before CAREFULLY disassemble and install new parts. Although I am a perfectionist, his standard of the repair was even higher than mine. He checked and found the noise was not totally gone after the repair. But I was already very happy with the results!! After he left, I had my 30min workout on this bike with almost no noise to damage my brain for the very first time. I do not know if the problem will return in the near future, but I am already very very satisfied with the current results. I would definitely recommend John and Mark!

John from sportseffect was an absolute pleasure to deal with when he came to figure out what was wrong with our upright bike. He arrived exactly when expected, explained to us what the issue was, let us know what our options were, and was overall a very nice guy to chat with while he performed the work. I purchased an Nordictrack Elliptical that was 3 years old and had been used maybe 6 times. The gentleman I purchased it from told me his daughter wanted it but never used it. Said it was too difficult. I tried it briefly and figured it was good buy for the price. I got it home and set it up and even at the lowest resistance after a few minutes I was done. I have been going to fitness clubs for over 40 years and have used many ellipticals and never one like this. I contacted sportseffect and spoke with Mark the owner who gave me a few suggestions to try. Anyways I ended up asking Mark if he could send a technician to look what could end up as a boat anchor or clothes hanger. Enter John the technician who told me what he was going to do to resolve a known issue with this type of elliptical. The machine is repaired and useable at a reasonable price.
John was polite. Left no mess and was very personable. I would highly recommend this company, Mark and John. Sorry I have to go my elliptical is calling my name.

Very happy with the service from Sportseffect. I called them after having an issue with my treadmill. Spoke with Mark and explained the issue over the phone. He was very clear with what he thought the issue was and took the time to provide possible issues. When John came out he was very nice, polite and also did a great job of explaining everything. Treadmill is back up and running and I would highly recommend Sportseffect for any sort of maintenance required on your gym equipment
