Freshly baked bagels are the best!
I was lucky enough to snag the very last matcha mochi bagel! Fresh out of the oven and it was incredible! The outer crust is lightly crisp, giving way to a rich matcha and mochi filling. They are def not cheap on the filling either, so you’ll never get a sad ‘just bread’ bite. The matcha flavor is well balanced. Not too bitter and not too sweet, just the way most Asians prefer it. The mochi is perfectly blended into the bagel. Soft and chewy without sticking to your teeth, yet firm enough that it’s not hard to bite through.
The shop is run by a lovely couple. They really give off that ‘adorable neighbourhood couple’ vibe, sweet and nice. Such a charming little spot!
