Visited A Corner Cafe in Markham and tried the matcha latte and the chicken bowl. The food was very good and the matcha had great flavour. The only downside was the slow service, but overall still a nice spot to grab a bite.
Ordered the beef bowl and peach Yakult. The food came so quickly and it tasted really great. Server was very knowledgeable about all the menu items and generally pleasant and helpful. They have the wifi pswd all over so you don't even have to ask. They also have a few shelves with board games and toys for kids to keep em occupied. The prices are pretty good too.
It's a decent 4.3 rating cafe with a great selection of food and drinks. Coffee is on par, I've had their chicken and waffle before and I like that the most. Today I ordered a beef bowl (which I had ordered before also). It has a good variety of ingredients. With that price I think the quality is decent but the beef isn't that great (not high quality beef, lots of black pepper and a bit more than my liking, taste is mediocre, but it's pretty consistent, just like how it tasted last time when I ordered), but I would still order it again.
Today (weekday) I came at around 11:30am and it was not crowded so no wait. I came here on weekends before and it's about a 30min wait during peek time.
The place was packed at lunchtime on a weekend. It seemed like a popular hangout spot for a younger crowd. The place is in a small plaza so parking can be hard to find depending on the day of the week and time of day.
Food was tasty although I found the pasta too soft and overcooked. The strawberry refresher was delicious and there was a generous amount of jelly.
