Shelbys is one of the best place I visited in Toronto. The food, the service and the taste is A grade. I would visit again and again as long as I live in toronto. Please keep up the good work. Great for group visits. And anyone reading this please dont hold back when you are there. Abbaaass (if you watch their videos you will know)
First time trying Shelby's. My wrap took about 14 minutes to make. I ordered the legendary but pretty sure I got a regular. Would not pay $15 for this again, I'm a little upset how small it is to the point where I may go out again to get more food. Come on, guys, the competition on your block...
e: adding a star for getting a reply from management. Thank you for the offer, I'll pass.
Bomb shawarma, they make fresh saj (shawarma wrap) and everything is fresh and delicious. I love the self-service to order you food and they have fast service. They are open late night and the service is always amazing. Will be coming back :)
There are definitely better shawarma options around. The food quality needs improvement — especially the sauces, which tasted old and unpleasant. It really affected the overall flavor, and unfortunately, I couldn’t even finish my food.
I hope the restaurant can work on improving freshness and taste, because the concept and menu have good potential.
I’ve been to Shelby’s Shawarma multiple times now, and I can confidently say the food is consistently great. Whether it’s the chicken shawarma, beef shawarma, vegetarian options, biryani, or the bowls — everything has been flavourful and reliably good across all visits.
The churros are a surprise standout — crisp, sweet, and definitely worth trying if you have a sweet tooth. The place is small and usually busy, but since most people do takeout, I’ve always managed to find a seat when dining in, even with friends.
The staff are friendly and efficient — I’ve never had an order mixed up, which says a lot about how well they run the place. And there's a bit of quirky charm too — like how “Pepsi” turns into “Bebsi” on your receipt. It’s small touches like that that make the experience memorable.
They don’t pressure you to tip, but honestly, the hardworking staff and quality of food make it feel well-deserved. Overall, Shelby’s offers a great casual dining experience, and I’ll definitely keep coming back.
