While Dr. Anwar is an amazing and thorough doctor, I can't help but feel like I'm being taken advantage of financially. I requested a dukoral vaccine that is sold over the counter, but is cheaper with a doctor prescription. I was informed by the secretary I have to come to the office to get it, but it isn't covered by OHIP, and I must pay $50. There is clearly nothing wrong with me. It is a preventative measure for my safety. So I might as well just pay the full price and buy it over the counter. I feel like I'm being taken advantaged of by my own family doctor whom I've been a patient with for over a decade now. Not happy about this.
Dr. Anwar and team are so hardworking. She is an amazing doctor and you can tell she genuinely cares for and listens to her patients. Her receptionist and the pharmacy team in the same office are so kind as well. Highly recommend.
Some people have mentioned having to wait but medicine is not always predictable. I’m happy to wait for a doctor who truly cares and am fortunate to have her as a family physician.
