It has been awhile ive been to the keg so dropped by The Keg on Leslie for a Thursday lunch and had a really nice experience overall. Since it was raining on and off, the place wasn’t too busy, which made it feel calm and cozy. I started with the Iceberg Lettuce Wedge Salad with blue cheese — super fresh and flavorful. For my main, I ordered the Filet Mignon, medium, and it came out just right — tender, juicy, and perfectly seasoned. I paired it with a glass of red wine, which went great with the steak.

To wrap things up, I had a slice of cheesecake with an espresso, which was rich, creamy, and the perfect finish. The service was friendly and attentive, and our server knew the menu well. I noticed two different servers checking on our table — not sure if that’s how it usually works at The Keg, but it made us feel looked after. The washroom was clean, which is always a plus.

One small thing — maybe it was just my mood or the gloomy weather — but the plates didn’t look quite as shiny as I remembered. Still, everything tasted great, and I’d definitely come back for another relaxed meal.

Ate at The Keg on Leslie tonight for a friend’s birthday. Service was impeccable as they handled a group of 22 with ease. I had a New York strip Chicago style with fries, skipping the seasonal vegetables. Steak was well executed, fries were on point, and the night ran smoothly. Definitely recommended.

This location was quite busy. We made a reservation for 6pm a week ago. We arrived on time and we still needed to wait for about 10 minutes. The parking lot was already full at 6pm and I had to wait for other guests to leave. The dining room was full and it was noisy. We ordered a variety of appetizers to start with. Two soups, 2 salads, a escargot and a tuna tartare. All of them were good except the iceberg wedge. It didn't have enough dressing. For mains, we ordered a 18oz prime rib, a rib steak, a 10oz filet mignon and a blackened chicken. All of them were cooked as requested. The rib steak had the most flavor of beef. For dessert, we ordered a creme brulee, a sticky toffee pudding and a Billy miner pie. The pie was free for the birthday person. The service was good except we felt a little bit of rush. Overall we enjoyed our meals.

Over the years we have been to many of the Keg restaurants but the one on Leslie Street is my favourite!
From the table design and setup, decor to lighting, for me it seems to provide the right touch and feel of a steakhouse. This place is busy most times that I have been here. We have even had to sit in the lounge/bar for dinner. Overall the atmosphere and energy from the restaurant just adds to our dining experience.
The service usually is very good. Seeing to our needs throughout the meal without being intrusive. Though at times due to volume I have experienced some lax in service.
The appetizers and deserts are pretty good, suits many different tastes in our group. My go to is the main course, starting off with the wedge salad with blue cheese. Then the top sirloin grilled perfectly as ordered. I would also recommend their prime rib it is delicious as well.
Overall I have been very satisfied with the Keg and would definitely recommend it to anyone!!!
