Not crowded. Good for kids from 2 to 7 years old. Safe with sand on the ground.

A nice park in the city located next to the school.
You'll find a large green field used for a baseball diamond and a playground.
Follow the path from the other park just north and this connects further south.
    A good intermediary trail.

Playgrounds itself its ok. Though features a few balls that is unique. Other than that, you'll find the usual selection of playground features.

Every year on the 2nd weekend in October, NCC holds their Annual Pow Wow and Trail of Tears Memorial walk here at Port Royal State Park. This location was the final campgrounds where the Native Americans camped before traveling down the Red River during the Forced Removal to Oklahoma. There are parts of the original trail still here. One portion which comes in front of Port Royal State Park's building is blacktopped. The other portion is not and has been maintained over the years. NCC holds a Memorial Walk each year on this portion prior to the opening of the Pow Wow on Saturday morning. This is a special place for the Cherokee and all Native Americans.
