Been wanting to go to chrisly cafe for awhile. And was very happy with everything.
Just like how a ho cafe should be. Busy but got the last seat. The English style fusion was very nice with the curry brisket spaghetti. Nice spiced kick to it too.
The ramen was nice too. I thought it was only one choice of topping but it came with two so we opted for bbq pork and beef. Broth was nice and salty and went well with the ramen
Service was good. Got seated almost immediately with a full house at 2pm on a Sunday. But the waitresses were very diligent in turning tables over and trying to get everyone seated served and fed. Communication effort is there but be patient with the language barrier if you can’t speak Mandarin or Cantonese.
Parking is pretty easy as it’s in a decent sized plaza and many places here are a takeout type spot or a services spot.
Great job overall
For lunch, Chrisly Cafe wasn't necessarily a bad choice.
Food 🥪: 8/10⭐
The food here was good. I ordered a corned beef sandwich and a chocolate banana French toast. Despite the corned beef sandwich being overly salty, it was still quite enjoyable. I had to force myself to finish the French toast. The tough bread was tough to bite and cut. There wasn't enough bananas, and way too much butter.
Service ♥️: 7/10⭐
Not many interactions between the waitresses and I were made.
Service speed 🐎: 10/10⭐
The food came about 10 minutes after ordering.
Atmosphere 🗑️: 3/10⭐
The atmosphere wasn't good at all. There were leftover crumbs on my seat from the previous customers. The floors are sticky, flies flying around, and there was a mess outside of the bathroom sitting in plain sight that no one found the time to clean it.
I would probably not come here if you are looking for a clean restaurant.
A busy restaurant with a long line up most of the time, I went there again at 6:00pm on Sunday and got a table. Still busy with 70% full. Ordered the all day special with satay noodle, sausage with fried egg and tea. Satay sauce was good and could taste pea butter flavor and a big portion of noodle. The fried egg was not as smooth as expected. HK style tea was good. Service was good and the waitresses were attentive and handed out napkins and extra bowls as customers' requests. Will go back again and try other food.
⚠️ THEIR COFFEE HAS HAZELNUT. This is confirmed from staff. Very interesting, rich, and unique taste profile, but just be wary. The hazelnuts cannot be removed.
Came for breakfast (goes until 11am) for their grand opening weekend, which also lands on a long weekend!
Their black coffee has some hazelnut flavour, very interesting!
Service was quick and I got their ham macaroni classic. The broth was stellar because it's chicken broth with ham cooked in it, but that also means that the ham was dry and tasteless.
Their toast goes HARD. I am p sure it's milk bread!
+$1 for cold drink. I got the lemon tea!
Make sure you come early to enjoy their Hong Kong vibes!
Chrisly Cafe have 2 location and this one is on Kennedy and Bur oak.
No need to wait on a weeknight.
We ordered a few items and they come out very fast and almost all items come out at the same time.
I pass by a few times during the weekend and they always look busy.
Food is tasty and is above average in my opinion.
I will return as food tastes good and fast.
Services is very good here.
If you are in the area you should give them a try.
Parking is not a problem.
