A solid spot for a satisfying meal. We ordered the Portuguese Chicken Rice and the Pork Chop Fried Rice in Tomato Sauce as combos, which both came with drinks. The portions are massive that is incredible value for the price. I couldn't finish mine and had to take leftovers home.
While the flavors weren't mind-blowing, they were exactly what you'd expect from a classic Hong Kong-style cafe: comforting, familiar, and hitting the spot. Perfect when you're craving a hearty, reliable meal without breaking the bank.
It was my firts time there. It was a Sunday afternoon after a walk. I observed quite a few people ordered the sandwiches or the set with white bread. The white bread provided may not be to the quality that most people not eating a lot.
I had a tea set of rice noodle in satay beef that came with eggs and white bread with coffee. The portion given was good. I just think the rice noodle is a bit soft. The white bread was OK to me. I think it may be a bit moist and not the type usually serves in Chinese Coffee Shops. It may be ok if the bread were toasted (Photo shown adjacent table with left over white bread).
Just another Hong Kong café. It gets busy, and there’s usually a bit of a wait - especially on weekends. A tablet at the entrance lets you get your queue number on your phone. The menu is extensive, and I agree with other reviewers: you really need to know what to order. We saw some regulars with dishes that looked great and came in generous portions.
Service was as expected - a bit nonchalant and rushed. Our vermicelli with chicken was bland, while the BBQ pork and scrambled eggs with rice were just okay - not bad, but nothing special. The eggs were nicely cooked and the portion was decent, but overall, we’d rather visit the other Hong Kong café a few doors down. With better options nearby, we probably won’t be back.
A good HK Cafe option in the area, but you gotta know what to order (or avoid). Definitely skip the baked fish fillet in cream sauce — it was bland and mushy, and just tasted like nothing. The baked tomato pork chop and the scallion pork chop with scrambled egg were both pretty good though I wish the pork chop was more tender.
Quick and efficient service. Join the queue by adding your name and number to the iPad at the entrance. Expect a queue on weekends.
A fast service Hong Kong style cafe restaurant, busy place at lunch times, extensive menu of all the Hong Kong favourites, fusion of Western and Cantonese cuisine, large servings with a drink included, daily specials are posted on the wall, fast efficient service for quick turnarounds.
