When I first came across Zakki’s listings on marketplace while searching for a car, the first thing I did was head to the reviews to see what other customers had to say. After going through the process myself, I’d say my experience was a mix of both the positives and the challenges others mentioned.

I bought my first car, a 2012 Hyundai Tucson, from him. From what I can tell, Zakki runs a small family business and is also involved in other personal projects, so he was very busy at the time I was buying. When I pushed him with lots of questions or follow-ups (especially over the phone), he sometimes pushed back. But whenever I met him in person, he was respectful and welcoming. Looking back, I probably added extra pressure since it was my first car and I was excited and anxious to get everything right.

I used him for everything from registration, safety, and a few extras he included for free. Now, one year and one month later, the car has been reliable, and I’m glad I went through with the purchase.

My advice to anyone dealing with Zakki or really anyone in a similar situation is to be patient. Give people a break, and if things aren’t going the way you planned, it’s okay to walk away. Zakki doesn’t handle stress perfectly, but then again, who does? He’s running a small family business alongside other personal projects and just trying to provide for his family. The least we can do is be understanding. Sometimes you’ll get a great deal, like I did, and sometimes you won’t.

Since buying my car, I’ve recommended Zakki to four people. One had a negative experience, but the other three had no complaints. My advice: do your own research, take a mechanic along, not just for Zakki, but whenever you’re buying a used car and keep your fingers crossed. If we had unlimited money, no one would need to shop the used car market, so it comes with challenges.
