good service with pretty good selection on beer. The chicken bone dish is a bit toward the sweet side, which different from what I usually have somewhere else.
The glass noodle with sour cabbage is good in my opinion. Loads of cabbage inside.
We had the best night ever at The Dragon BBQ Bar (一龍小酒馆)! The vibe was lively and cozy—perfect for a long catch-up with friends. Skewers came off the grill smoky and juicy (lamb and chicken wings were our favorites), and the small plates were spot-on for sharing. Drinks were cold, service was quick and friendly, and the music kept the energy up without being too loud. It’s the kind of place where time flies and the table stays full. Can’t wait to come back for another round of skewers and laughs!
I discovered this place through my IG feed. This chinese bbq restaurant has a great promotion this month. You need to follow and like their post on IG to unlock the deals.
The restaurant has a nostalgic 80's design and feel. There are old tube tvs, neon signs and posters of famous Chinese stars of the past.
We got 1.5L draft beer for $6.99, choice of beef or garlic chicken skewers (6 pcs) $4.99, and fried steamed buns (4 pcs) $3.99.
We ordered the sweet and sour pork $14.99 which was crispy sliced pieces of pork loin.
We ordered squid, lamb, pork belly, and garlic chicken skewers. They were all good and I like the tablet ordering interface where you can customize your order to get no spice, less spice, or more spice.
The draft beer is smooth and goes well with the skewers. There's a large self serve fridge area where they have their own branded beers and spirits.
They also offer a complimentary shaved ice dessert or choice of mango tapioca pudding, and chocolate mousse. I highly recommend the shaved ice "bing see" and my wife really like it. It's similar to Filipino Halo Halo dessert.
We came here in the late afternoon so it wasn't too busy. I don't doubt this place will be extremely busy on Friday and Saturday night.
I am going to bring my work friends in 0ctober for a Friday night visit.
The place is busy, so they have a sign in system whereby you add your name and phone number to the waiting list and they will text you when your turn comes up. Unfortunately, they don't do that . It's more of whoever is there in front of the main server gets seated. We waited for an hour before we got tired and spoke to the server. She ended up seating us in a small table in a corner. Was not very impressed.
Once seated , the service was fast and friendly. The food was excellent. Just wish we had enough room to put the food and drinks .
If you’re on the hunt for a fire-breathing feast, look no further than The Dragon BBQ Bar: Markham’s ultimate Chinese BBQ spot open daily from noon till 2 AM. With its retro 80s vibe, it’s the perfect den to gather friends and family for a night (or day!) of delicious eats and lively drinks.
Their BBQ skewers were the real drag-on stars there, offering everything from tender beef and lamb to fresh seafood and crisp veggies, all expertly grilled to smoky perfection. The stir-fried noodles and sour-spicy soup packed a punch of flavour, while the golden egg fried rice and honey grilled toast added just the right touch of comfort and sweetness.
Don’t miss their unique self-branded beer — it pairs perfectly with the bold BBQ flavours and rounds out the meal with a cool finish. Bonus points for the complimentary dessert and refreshing slush to cool down the heat!
