Monarch park is a great park, has a moderately large field, has a very nice playground and swing set. My only suggestions is that there should be leftover tire below the playground instead of sand, this is because sand is impossible to get out of your shoes. The new dog park should also be grass because wood chips will get on your dog and with some breeds you would have to shave him to get it off.
Played at the diamond there for the first time and was quite impressed. Well maintained, but like other diamonds, could've had better lighting
Have never expected that Monarch park is so terrific in Autumn, though it is also beautiful in other seasons too. Full of beautiful colors, like paintings
Went to school here (st.matthews). Jeez, 25 years ago now. Still just like I remember it and awesome for a nice quick walk especially with a dog. The nostalgia factor for me personally is quite insane.
It’s actually a very beautiful park and space, only wish it was bigger!! They also have the body-weight workout equipment around the park, though might not be the best during covid. There’s also a baseball diamond and a soccer field.
