⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Indraprastha Markham – A Truly Outstanding Dining Experience!
Indraprastha Markham has quickly become one of my favourite restaurants in the GTA. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with a warm, inviting ambience that instantly makes you feel at home. The staff is friendly, attentive and genuinely passionate about ensuring every guest has a great experience.
The food is the real star here. The menu offers an impressive variety of authentic Indian dishes, each prepared with fresh, high-quality ingredients that you can taste in every bite. The flavours are rich, balanced and unmistakably home-style. Their biryanis, curries and appetizers all stand out — and the naans deserve a special mention. They come out perfectly fluffy, soft, and aromatic every single time.
The restaurant is also very family-friendly, and the staff is wonderful with kids. Plenty of seating, a comfortable layout, and ample parking make it even easier for families and groups to enjoy a relaxed meal without any hassle.
Overall, Indraprastha Markham delivers on all fronts — ambience, service, flavour, quality, and comfort. Highly recommended for anyone looking for authentic Indian cuisine done right. Will definitely be back!
We visited this restaurant as it’s close to our home. It has nice ambience. We ordered paneer tikka masala (roti was complimentary) and paneer biryani. I liked the food a lot, it was flavourful and quantity was good enough for two people.
Price is decent, its a place for biryani lovers and specially from Hyderabad. They sometimes have buffet, would love try that.
Do you believe in second chances? I do. After a very disappointing visit to Indraprastha in Markham, I gave them another chance and I'm glad I did. Their food and service were far better this time around.
Unlike the previous visit, food arrived quickly, and sizzling hot, all freshly made, and tasty. The naan was perfectly light and fluffy. The cocktails were refreshing, albeit a little on the sweet side.
We had a lot of food, more than we could finish, so we ended up taking some of it home.
• Hareyali Paneer
• Gangster Gobi
• Chicken Manchurian
• Garlic Naan
• Masala Chicken Lollipop
• Butter Chicken
• Chicken Dum Biriyani
• Chicken Chow Mein
• Chilli Garlic Naan
• Gulab Jamun
• Chocolate Brownie Sizzler
Everything was much better this time around. Hopefully, they'll maintain this level of quality and service.

August 2025
I love Indian food and I've driven past Markham's Indraprastha many times, each time telling myself I need to try this place. Well, the time had come as I joined a friend and her daughter for dinner one Friday evening.
Everything started off okay as we were seated and presented with menus. We ordered from their limited Master Chef Curated menu, offering six items for only CDN$25.99/person. Everything went downhill from there, way downhill!
We had arrived at 6:55pm. Our drinks showed up at 7:40pm, 45 minutes later. Our first two dishes, simple appetizers, showed up at 8:10pm, an hour and 15 minutes after our arrival. Our last dish was served at 9:00pm. We had lost our appetites by this time.
Was the food good? Decent? NO! Not even close! Several of the dishes were rock hard and dry, suggesting it was sitting under a heat lamp for an extended period. The naan, was crusty and inedible. Only a couple of the saucy dishes were okay, ie not dried out.
It's worth noting that we were the only customers in the restaurant until around 8:00pm. There was no obvious reason for the slow service and poor quality of the food.
Avoid this place!
I went to this restaurant for dinner and tried their buffet. I was genuinely impressed. The food had that perfect home-style taste with full of flavour, comforting, and satisfying.
The buffet is only for this weekend it seems and the selection was spot on. Every dish was worth trying, nothing felt wasted. The starters were fresh and crispy, I couldn’t resist going for seconds! The chicken and mutton gravy was rich and delicious, and the surprise addition of pani puri made the meal even more enjoyable.
Overall, I had a great experience. If you are near by don’t miss this weekend buffet!
Today, I visited Indraprastha Indian Restaurant for a special lunch buffet, and it was an extraordinary experience! The selection of dishes was not only extensive but also showcased the true essence of authentic Indian cuisine.
Among the standout offerings was the Andhra chicken, which was beautifully spiced and incredibly flavorful. The kadi pakoda was equally impressive, with a rich and creamy sauce that complemented the crispy fritters perfectly. The cahun potato added a delightful twist, providing a unique taste that I hadn't encountered before.
One of the highlights of the buffet was the mango daal, which struck a perfect balance between sweet and savory, making it a memorable dish. The chaat corner was a fun addition, and the pani puri was a definite crowd-pleaser, bursting with tangy flavors and crispy textures.
The atmosphere of the restaurant was warm and inviting, and the staff truly enhanced the experience with their attentive and friendly service. They were quick to assist with recommendations and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the meal.
Overall, this special buffet at Indraprastha Indian Restaurant was a delightful celebration of Indian cuisine. I left feeling satisfied and eager to return to explore more of their delicious offerings!
