This place is very unassuming, but when you enter the farm shop, it’s like stepping into Narnia. The amount of produce they have is amazing, this store just goes on. It has a bakery section, a meat fridge and a lot of Knick knacks. This store is very well appointed and the staff are SO friendly, it’s like I’ve known them for years. Surprisingly, this shop is open year round and I think I’ve found my new favourite place!
Stumbled across this gem while on an errand in the area. Fresh Heads offers a great selection of fresh vegetables & baked goods plus a variety of gifty things. The staff are lovely and happy to tell you about where everything comes from. There was even a crafts workshop going on in the back.
I'm looking forward to heading back!
Whenever I head to the outskirts, I always look for a farmers’ market or fresh produce shop. This time, I found a cozy spot with fresh produce and plenty of vegan options.
We picked up some turnips and asked about vegan, gluten-free cakes. While they didn’t have any, the kind shop owner offered us a gluten-free vegan bread for free, promoting her friend’s homemade brand, Barbara’s Sourdough.
A warm and friendly place worth visiting!
My first time visiting and was very impressed. I love supporting local businesses and it was nice to meet the owner. Love how it’s a sibling duo who owns and runs the farm and store. They have a good selection of fresh produce and they also carry other locally made items! I went there for the Silvanas, you can find them in the freezer.
We love to support local businesses and especially local growers like Fresh Heads - who also seem to love to support other local businesses since their shop is full of other local fare. Their lettuce is amazing - if you’re only familiar with grocery store iceberg or romaine this will expand your horizons. On this trip we got a couple different kinds of lettuce, some fresh bread, and some local honey. Should have gotten a tray of butter tarts… we’ll be back… and CONGRATULATIONS to them on their one year anniversary! I’m sure there will be many more anniversaries to celebrate!
