I went to look at the furniture in the store today, and some of it was quite nice. The prices weren't particularly attractive, but they were still acceptable. However, when I was leaving, the salesperson insisted I delete a photo I had taken of one of their coffee tables. I felt quite uncomfortable, because they were afraid I would "steal" their design? If taking photos wasn't allowed, they could have clearly stated it in the store. Asking me to delete a photo when I was already leaving felt a bit unpleasant. Actually, I saw that design later at the Ashely store, so it couldn't be an exclusive design. Although it was a minor incident, it definitely makes customers less discerning when making their choices.
Recently we bought a bed, a night table and a mattress at Tongtat Furniture and I am greatly satisfied. The price was reasonable; the furniture are in good quality; the store owner and Gary were really helpful. They tried their best to accommodate our needs.
I managed to pick up the items on the same day and their products were in excellent condition. After the purchase, the store owner and Gary were quite supportive when I contacted them. Overall, my purchase experience with Tongtat Furniture was great. I will definitely come back to them when I need any furniture in the future.
Additional comment:
Due to COVID, the supply chain is disrupted. So the back ordered items might take longer than expected. It is advisable to let the store know if you are okay with the wait time.
This furniture store is located on Kennedy and Passmore, it's the plaza across from the church.
We love our dining table and it looks great in our dining room. The quality is top notch plus their customer service was amazing. Gary was very helpful and provided us with explanation and tips on how to assemble our dining table. Gary and the owner were very communicative and will definitely recommend family and friends to shop here.
